Last Friday marked my 25 years of existence. Yeah, 25. The line crossed where “young” is no longer in the picture. Where one asks how old you are, hears your response then replies with, “Oh, 25? What are you doing with your life? Do you have kids, a job, dreams and aspirations? And wtf are you doing to achieve that?”
I feel that 24 still encompasses and somewhat accepts bad decision making. Where, 25, on the other hand, is an age of responsibility, maturity, and settlement. Although, a quarter of a century does seem like a lot, I believe that every age is beautiful.
Every numeric age is another mark of growth. Every wrinkle and grey hair is a physical representation of experience and self-realization.
