Shy City

I’ve been speaking of visiting Chicago for quite a while now. Sometimes executing something that you say/said you’d do only comes down to two words: “Screw it!” And that, we did. Booked literally the same day I started my first full-time big boy job, this was most definitely the best decision I’ve made thus far this year.

Last two shots taken from a moving object.

Wildberries

Half of our plans, if not all, were made based on Yelp reviews. But aren’t most plans made that way nowadays? Wildberry Pancakes and Cafe was the first listing glued to the top of our searched words which read, “pancakes and breakfast” with a 4.5 star rating and 2200+ reviews. It was around noon and waiting about an hour didn’t quite seem worth it after putting our name down, but I think we all left satisfied.

The Wait:

“Party of four, please.”

Stopped by Starbucks in the meantime.

Jennie trippin’ out ’cause she could see herself in her nails.

Willis Tower // Sky Ledge

Definitely not what I thought it would be. Very much worth the shots, but was not much of an experience as it may appear through stills.

Thank you, Airbnb.

It’s crazy how this corporation has really changed the game of accommodating stay and hospitality for travelers. After booking two Airbnb’s thus far this year, I believe I speak for everyone when I say that it’s played a huge role in making our vacation experiences that much more of one. The following shots are taken inside our booked Airbnb loft located in the Westloop part of Chicago.

Although it doesn’t show much of the interior of the home, if you could imagine the gloomy Chicago sky, brick walls, wooden floors, and Eames Chairs made a dope opportunity to flex one time with the DSLR and a few of my stuffs.

Fuel for Departure

On our last day we, again, turned to Yelp and chose to eat brunch at Eggy’s Diner. I’ll let the photos speak for themselves.

Snapped this outside of the Diner while waiting for a table.

8+ yrs.

Always good traveling with others. Not only is it merrier, but it’s cheaper too! Jennie and I have traveled with these two to Ensenada, San Diego/Las Vegas numerous times, and now Chicago.

Millennium Park // The Bean

On our last day we had to make it a priority to visit one of Chicago’s most well known architectural land mark. Millennium Park has a lot to admire such as, the amphitheater, garden, elevated bridge, jungle gym, rock climbing wall, and much more. But it was dope for the end of the stroll through the park to end at this landmark.
